I had an appointment with Dr. Banta at OPN on March 11. Emily was there with me and it went really well. Dr. Banta did a good of explaining the treatment plan and answering questions. He was warm and encouraging, which is what we both needed.
The basic plan will be for chemo/radiation 5 times a week for 6 weeks. No official start date yet, but I'm telling myself it will be March 30 because that's what seems most logical and what I want it to be so that I'm at the top of my game for the game that Evelyn is coming out for. I'm not sure if Doug told his kids yet or not ... not that it matters
I've been doing my best to keep various people updated on what's going on but it's getting to be pretty hard.
Something that just struck me is how much support and love I've been getting from the people that know. It meant so much to me when Doug's whole family called or texted on my birthday. Like a lot more than I realized.
I'm back to not sleeping as much as 'normal'. Only about 4 hours yesterday and about 5 hours today. I'm not tired though, so maybe it's fine. I do have a pretty hard rule that I'm not making coffee before 4:30 so that I might be able to fall back asleep 🤣 ... it hasn't happened so far
